HE Knows Best – Andean Blue Opal Pendant HE Knows Best – Andean Blue Opal Pendant
HE Knows Best – Andean Blue Opal Pendant $367.00
Let’s start with just the words “He knows best”. There’s He – God, Yahweh, Abba, Creator, Jehovah; knows - He knows “the end from the beginning” (Isaiah 46:10); and best, not better but best. He knows best. He knows the plans that he has for you. He knows what is best for you. He knows what He has planned for you according to Jeremiah 29:11 He has a plan “to give you a hope and a future” and He knows what it will take to get you there. He knows best. When I started on this particular piece of jewelry, the opal was actually bought with the intention to become a pair of earrings. There is a mirrored piece of beautiful Peruvian blue opal with a pattern like I’ve never seen before or since, but as I crafted the bezel wire that goes around the gemstone, sized the fine silver back plate, soldered everything together, assembled the top of the earrings with the posts, connected all of the pieces, and began to set to opal itself, I realized that somethings were not falling into place the way that I had planned.  The earrings were heavier than I had anticipated. I continued to work on setting the opals into their freshly crafted bezel settings and waited to set the gemstones that were meant for the top of the earrings. I had to have patience and just work on the step that I was on instead of trying to skip ahead even though I so wanted to.  (Sometimes we have to have patience, because while we think we know what we’re doing, if we rush into it, we may mess the whole thing up.)   See, I could hardly wait to see the completed piece that I had been envisioning, but I could see that there might be another plan, so I placed the blue opal into the bezel setting of the second earring and fit the bezel walls around it.  Again, I noticed that it seemed a little heavy and that they weren’t perfect mirrors of each other.  In fact, there was a pretty obvious difference between the two opals.  It was then that I realized why it was so important that I waited to set those top gemstones as I had to make a decision. Though I did not like the decision that I was making, undoing something that I had done, I had to cut a part of my hard work off and split something that I planned as being a pair into three separate pieces. This pair of absolutely gorgeous gemstones that I thought were going to be a pair of earrings were going to now be two pendants, because they were too heavy to be earrings and didn’t match.  That’s when I remembered that there’s a Scripture that talks about the plans of man are many but the purpose of God will prevail.  As I gave up my plans and lopped off of the top of the earrings, I saw two incredibly similar, but very, very different pendants emerge.  I realized how incredibly unique and beautiful they were. They may look almost the same, but they are so uniquely different.  His plans that He knew from the beginning prevailed – now there’s a pair of post earrings that will get used for something else that He has already inspired and two amazing pendants all because He knows best (and His plans will succeed). "Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established." - Proverbs 16:3 This pendant is the Proverb in real life.  When I first set out to work on this piece of jewelry nothing went correctly; the bezel wire (that piece of silver around the outside of the gemstone) wouldn't solder (think melt) to the silver backing, I burned myself a few times, I melted some bezel wire and had to start over - finally, I acknowledged that my super artistic design for this gemstone was not His will.  See, I had not submitted my original design to Him and God had closed the door on my design.  (Looks a bit like a jellyfish, doesn't it.) That door that God had closed was not going budge no matter what tools and tricks I used. (ref. Rev. 3:7) After taking a break from this gemstone for a few days while I worked on other pieces of jewelry and prayed for His divine inspiration, this minimalistic setting came to mind.  The best part, it all came together on the first go - He had opened a door and established my plan. My prayer for the owner of this pendant is that you recognize the closed doors, submit your plans to our good and loving Heavenly Father, and have the courage to walk through the doors that He opens for you. The Looking Glass (Labradorite Pendant) The Looking Glass (Labradorite Pendant)
The Looking Glass (Labradorite Pendant) $425.00
We have likely all heard the song by with lyrics that say "You make beauty from ashes" by Elevation Worship in which they paraphrase Isaiah 61:3, but may not have considered the in-depth meaning behind those words. Each of us has the opportunity to choose how we view our lives - the way the world sees it or the way that God does.  We can look at the things that we experience as defeating or as opportunities to grow in character.  If we choose the latter, we can use those experiences to help others and encourage them; to shine light where they see darkness. To be the person that God has purposed each of us to be requires a multitude of experiences that will shape our character.  The people that we meet, how they interact with us, and how we respond to them are all a part of the process.  This gemstone is no different.  It is made of some of the most common materials on the planet all melded together in a unique and beautiful way. Labradorite could look like so many common stones that we see but that wasn't how it came together; instead, it has a labradorescence when light hits it from certain directions giving off intense colors of blues and violets through overtones of green, yellow, or orange.   It is an example of how we can reflect the beauty from experiences, fractures, and imperfections back to the world.   Labradorite semi-precious gemstone pendant set in solid fine silver Approximate 2.3" drop (Chain sold separately - click here to view)

He Brings Light (Wild Horse Pendant) $438.00
"Then God said, 'Let there be light.' And light appeared." - Genesis 1:3  When the heavens and the earth were first created, Scripture says that the earth was formless and void; that there was no light.  During the story of Creation, our God not only brought forth light, but separated from the dark and added the stars in the sky.  We see just a few days later in this very first story of the Bible that He is a trinitarian God, when He says, "Let us make man in our own image..." - Genesis 1:26 This pendant has been designed with three imperfectly perfect shaped balls of silver mounted along the bail that connects to the fine silver bezel-set Wild Horse gemstone to represent our amazing Creator, Redeemer.  Just as He required that no stone which had been chiseled be used for His alters, the balls of silver have not been perfectly rounded off.  The Wild Horse gemstone in this necklace alludes to light and dark separated and stars set into the night sky.
