God is so Incredibly Good!

Have you ever had one of those moments when your need was met but not in the way that you were expecting? I almost overlooked that my need had been met; I almost threw it away...
God is so Incredibly Good!

So how does a packet of mayo from Chick-fil-A make God so incredibly good?

Well, first off let’s set a foundation with this piece of Scripture. “God works ALL things together for the good of those that love Him and are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

OK, now that we have that established, I can explain why a simple packet of mayo reminded me that God is so incredibly good.

For the past several days, I have been running the Elements of Grace pop-up store on Galveston Island in Texas which is nearly an hour from home. I haven’t had a chance to go by the grocery store since before it started and I had run out of lunchmeat to make sandwiches with.

See, I take sandwiches to eat while I’m at the pop-up store so that I don’t have to leave the store unattended.  (Jewelry unattended - yikes!)

Today I just simply skipped lunch.  On my way home I drove through Chick-fil-A because I was starving. I placed my normal order, nuggets and fries with Chick-fil-A sauce. To my surprise I found a single packet of mayo in the bag when I got home. I hadn’t asked for mayo (cue head scratching).

Normally, I would’ve thrown that packet of mayo out, but this time I realized that it was a gift. I had cans of tuna (hurricane kit), pickle relish, and crackers. Wahlah! I have lunch for tomorrow.

God may not give us what we ask for, but He will always give us what we need. So again I say God is sooo good.

My question to you is what small gifts is he giving you that you might be overlooking?
